Ampps.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point _Z17qt_message_output9QtMsgTypePKc could not be located in the dynamic link library D:\Ampps\Ampps.exe.

This error message when trying to start .exe.
Have all needed Microsoft Visual...

Update via Ampps never worked so i downloaded ver2.4 and installed over. The only way to update. And get this error.

Which Ampps version you are using?

Ampps = 2.4
Windows = 8.0

Also Amupdate.exe has problems. Looking for same files in root folder but with letter "d" in filename, and they are missing.

QtNetworkd4.dll

More i cannot say, reverted back to 2.3 version just to could continue to work.

Hi,

Yes, there are issues with Amupdate.exe, they are looking for debug libraries. We have fixed that binary and have added the same in the zip attached.

But Ampps.exe seems fine, it is pointing to proper libraries. Still I have added the same in the zip attached.

You can try replacing the binaries and start the Application.

Please open a ticket if you are still facing any issues.

I will wait tills update is working in download section. Ruined some databases and last 3 weeks of work (InnoDB). Found some way to get back almost all. My fault, trusted to much Ampps and didnt make backups.

Tell me if update will leave databases as they are ? Rest can i compare with Beyond Compare and make it as before with my manual tweaks.

Can you please make one new option. To let us chose backup directories, separate for each installation.

It doesnt work, same error. Give us right files for 2.3 so we can update and not to mess with new install. What is point in corrected 2.4 files if we cannot update via Ampps control panel.

All is working now, version 2.4 is installed. But if you override installation over old one expect hell a lot of errors and problems.

Renamed old Ampps folder, installed clean new one 2.4 then cut/paste all my files. Takes few seconds as they are on the same partition. Of course compared difference in files and moved in all my tweaks.

Would move back to Xampp if it had PHP version switch. Some old websites need 5.3 version.
