 Softaculous not working after upgrade (6 Replies, Read 5305 times)

Alon, after upgrading Softaculous, it will not work. First I got the ioncube loader error, and contacted support via support ticket. After a couple of days, they finally got this working.

Then I tried updating the scripts, but nothing would update. Not only that, but all but 59 of the scripts were deleted and would not reinstall.. I followed all the suggestions on your site and forum. No luck. Contacted support again. More unhelpful answers.

Finally got them to look at it, and now, back to the ioncube loader error..

A never ending circle it seems, with no real help from support.

The reliability of your product is questionable. Are you able to help to get this rectified? Ticket number 588136

ha.. between my last submission via support ticket, and writing the above, it seems the problem has been fixed somewhat.

Still a number of scripts that won't install, but many more now installed.

I have this problem to. Suddenly (when i was trying to update SoftAculous)....

Site error: the file /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/softaculous/admin/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.3.so to be installed by the site administrator.

phpinfo:
  with the ionCube PHP Loader v4.0.2, Copyright (c) 2002-2010, by ionCube Ltd., and
  with Zend Guard Loader v3.3, Copyright (c) 1998-2010, by Zend Technologies

Why not post some details as to why your installer is causing these problems. You take forever to resolve support tickets, and this is unacceptable.

A Cpanel update seems to have messed this up.

This should fix it for anyone using Cpanel.

WHM > Tweak Settings > PHP > Change cPanel PHP loader to "sourceguardian". Then change it back to "ioncube" and it should add the correct entry in the file /var/cpanel/3rdparty/lib/php.ini
