I'm a newbie and did something earlier today that messed up the site I was building. So I reset WP, thinking that would clear everything and I could start over.

But now when I try to add a new page with pagelayer, I get this error message:
Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.

I have no idea what that means or what I did wrong. Can anybody help?
