Topic : Nextcloud backup through cron does not work

Posted By: tizoo on September 30, 2019, 12:54 pm
For a Nextcloud 16.0.4 installationRunning a backup through the web interface succeed. But when the backup is triggered from cron, we receive an email with the following message when the backup start :

PHP Warning:  Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
The backup seems to succeed as it create a file with a size that seems to be right. But the backup file is a hidden file (starting with a dot) and then is not shown in the web interface.
No mail is sent when the backup finished.
Where can we have a look to understand the problem ? Is there a log file somewhere ?
Is the generated backup a good archive or is it not complete ?
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

If the backup file name starts with a (dot) it means the backup was not complete. Since you did not get an email that the backup failed it seems the backup process ended unexpectedly.

Can you please open a support ticket with us so that we can check this for you :
