Softaculous

Topic : Can't backup any installation

Posted By: inkedfur on August 15, 2016, 7:27 pm
I purchased Webuzo and used to be able to make backups fine but since switching from CentOS to Ubuntu, I am now getting the following errors:

"There were errors while trying to make a file of permissions"
"There were errors while adding the Database to the backup."

I am not sure what to do. I have searched Google and this forum and can't find anything similar.

Can you please open a support ticket along with your root credentials for us to check the issue ?

What is the permission given to /home/USERNAME/softaculous_backups ? Is the directory writable ?

That was the issue! These were the permissions:
drwxr-xr-x  2 root  root  4096 Jul 24 18:06 softaculous_backups

I did a chown mainuser:mainuser softaculous_backups and the problem went away.
