Consider we have an IP pool xx.xx.xx.102-126 configured in our Virtualizor instance and they are all nicely available to choose from the list when creating new VPS. However, we used some of the IPs in the middle, let's say the ones ending with 115 to 119, elsewhere - to configure dedicated servers, for example.

In this situations, instead of removing already configured IP pool (and I am not sure if it will break anything) and configuring two new IP pools for xx.xx.xx.102-114 and xx.xx.xx.120-126, I wonder is there any way to just exclude certain IPs from the current pool?

If there is no such a way, then please consider this as a new feature request to be able to mark certain IPs as used, taken and therefore making them unavailable for use during creation of new virtual private servers.

You could mark IP from the pool as locked, so it will not be used for newly created vm.

wolke, thanks for the update, however i would not create this thread if it was so obvious as you suggest. can you elaborate on exactly how to do that? i only see the following options on IP pool edit page:

Quote
Edit IP Pool
Name
The name of this IP Pool

xx.xx.xx.98-126
Gateway
xx.xx.xx.97

Netmask
255.255.255.224
Nameserver 1
If not aware then use 4.2.2.1

xx.xx.xx.2
[Google] [Open DNS] [Comodo][Smart Viper]
Nameserver 2
If not aware then use 4.2.2.2

xx.xx.xx.2
Server
The server this IP Pool belongs to
All Servers[Group] Default    - localhost    - example.hostname
Use Routed network
If checked, routed networking will be used

MTU
Specify the Maximum Transmission Unit in Bytes. If empty the default value will be used.

In other words, there is no any option to mark an IP as taken.

Have a look here:
IP Pools ==> List IP
then search for the IP you want to lock and click the "manage" pencil icon.
