Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 10 Status:	I have installed ampps on non Internet connected windows 7. It works fine with an added ip domain such as 192.168.2.6, install Wordpress and I set the static ip on the machine to the same. But if I add a named domain such as test1.com, I get " can't find server" even when ip of machine is returned to default " get ip automatically". I have searched the forum and don't see a solution. Thanks

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 10 Status:	I believe this has to do with edit host files, I get message "do not have permission to edit host files" . How do I set permission to edit host files? Thank you

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 10 Status:	figured it out, had to take administrator ownership of hosts file to allow ampps to add entry, WHEW what a lot of reading and figuring.
