Softaculous

Topic : Moving Wordpress Site from HostGator's Quick Install

Posted By: moore29 on May 8, 2016, 6:35 pm
Hello Support,
I am currently using a one-month free version of Softaculous in my VPS server.
Having migrated from HostGator's Quick Install which is similar to Softaculous, and which does not backup, auto-upgrade WHMCS, etc.

These are the reason why I switched host because I had to manually backup my sites and manually upgrade WHMCS which is a pain.

My question; how can I enable the the feature whereby I can upgrade WHMCS with the click of a button when a new version is available?

Secondly, how can I enable the same feature to my Wordpress websites. It seems, they are still using the same HostGator's Quick install software.

When I check installed scripts in Softaculous, it shows "You do not have any installations" despite the fact that I installed Wordpress from HostGator's Quick install?

Please help..

Hi,

You will need to import the installations to Softaculous.

You can do that from WHM -> Softaculous Admin panel -> Import
Select the "Import manually installed scripts by users" check box and click on "Start Import" button.

This should import the installations to Softaculous and then you can manage Backups and Upgrades via Softaculous.

Please let us know if you face any issues.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

There are some issues with the upgrade utility provided by OpenCart 2 hence we have not provided the upgrade at the moment.
Once the OpenCart 2 upgrade utility works fine we will add it.
