I input the tag on the copyright section via my SEO. It’s showing 404 error, what am I doing wrong. Pls educate me on how to go about it.

The meta tag text is a number of text-only input fields under the Advanced SEO menu options that are added under the heading section of any web page.
I don't understand exactly what you mean when you talk about TAG. As for that 404 error, text only means you can't reference a web location or link pointing to an inaccessible web page as is the case with 404 error.
