On Softaculous it won't allow us to upgrade Ghost from 0.3 to 0.4.

I've just tried to install v0.4 and it says unable to install in subdirectories! I believe this can now be done in v0.4

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

On Softaculous it won't allow us to upgrade Ghost from 0.3 to 0.4.

We are working on the upgrade script and will add it soon.

Hi,

We have updated Ghost to 0.4.1
We have also added upgrade capability to Ghost package and now it is also possible to install Ghost into sub-directories via Softaculous.

Not sure if it's just me... but I can't see a upgrade button on cPanel index, not on Softaculous (Client) and I can't do it in the Admin section I can email the customers about the upgrade but I can't upgrade it.

This is not possible at the moment. We will try to add this.

Do you see Ghost 0.4.1 in Softaculous ? If yes you should see the upgrade option in the Softaculous Enduser panel. At the moment it is not possible to upgrade Ghost from Softaculous Admin panel.
If you do not see upgrade option in enduser panel please execute the CRON command to get the latest package.

Hey guys,

Awesome work on the Ghost installer so far, it's fantastic!

I just tried the upgrade from 0.4.0 to 0.4.1 and there was an issue.

After upgrade, if you go to the sign in page you'll see this message:

"Hello There! Looks like something went wrong with your JavaScript.

Either you need to enable JavaScript, or you haven't built the JavaScript files yet. See the README and CONTRIBUTING files for more info."

This happened on two upgrades, one where I checked the "backup" box and one where I didn't.

Both sites were functioning as expected prior to upgrade.

The message appears in both Chrome and Firefox.

The first visible result is some of the admin menu items not displaying correctly. There may be other issues too but I've just completed the upgrade so I haven't tested further yet.

Let me know if I can help with any extra info to help isolate the issue.

Thanks for your awesome work!

Hi,

We have tested the upgrade and it worked fine on our side. Did you try Ctrl + F5

If you can open a support ticket with us we can check it for you.

Hi Brijesh,

You're totally right.

Sorry for not performing noob level checking.

I'd seen that message before in a failed attempt at building Ghost from source so I assumed it was something similar.

Each of the upgraded sites appear to be just fine now.

Thanks for your help!

Hey Kezz,

Just wondering is your admin area (/ghost/) working fine for you? I've upgraded both installations of mine, and both have issues haha.

1. Has the backend but when you click on settings it tries to go to /settings and not /ghost/settings/ and the other one is just Blank.

the frontend is fine, just wanted to check with you before I use a backup to restore as they might of been corrupted on the update.

Thanks :) .

Edit: Fixed by a manual restart, was hoping when upgraded it would be restarted :P weird software but amazing and amazing installer :)
