Yap I can confirmed this. I think it because AMPPS is a 32-bit software which will not be compatible with macOS in the future.

Wait -- can you please explain what you mean?  You mean that AMPPS will not be working on MACs running Mojave ever?  If so, <raspberry sound>.

I'm having the same warning message since Mojave update, everything works ATM but on future versions of OSX they will no longer support 32bit applications.

My question is: is there a 64bit version coming soon for macs? or are we doomed?

cheers,
dan

Some years ago I put in an issue regarding a 64 bit version for the Mac. At the time, the problem was with PHP not supporting some features. Still waiting for any sign of life on that one.
Apple have been promising for years that a future version of MacOS will not support legacy 32 bit applications. Many developers either don’t believe them or don’t care.
Mojave may well be the last version which supports 32 bit. Given the lack of information, it may well be time to revisit XAMPP.

lol I visited it today, but for other reason (need to test piece code in php 7.3 where ampps doesn't have it and no clue to update it).
I'm starting to think that AMPPS slowly becoming abandonware  :neu:

I might add that while XAMPP las lifted their game in recent years, AMPPS has become oddly silent and slow moving.
I still recommend AMPPS for the following reasons:
  • It’s easy to set up a virtual host
  • I can switch versions of PHP
However XAMPP has the following benefits:
  • Newer version of PHP
  • MariaDB instead of MySQL

The lack of 64 bit support on AMPPS may well hasten its demise.

Back on the 18 of feb this year, I've created a support ticket with them, this is that they replied:

"Yes, and We have built the new version with 64 Bit support and we have also added new Apps like MySQL-5.7 and MariaDB. We will launch the new version until this weekend.

Please let us know if you need any further information.

Regards,
AMPPS Support"

So far no updates yet, I'm not sure if the guy was just taking the piss with me, or if it's true, maybe we should all start putting support requests instead of posting on the forum here, as by the looks of it they don't even read the forums.

Ah this is a good news. I'll be waiting patiently for that. :D

I might add that I am now more-or-less decided on XAMPP.
I am developing a simple application to edit the hosts file and to simplify the process of adding a virtual host. It should be ready to try out in a few days.
The application is an Electron app, so it will work on both Mac and Windows. Currently I am developing on the Mac, but I hope to have the Windows version tested soon.
This is, in my opinion the only real advantage of AMPPS: the ease of creating a virtual host. Once my application is ready, I can’t see any other reason to persist with AMPPS which appears to have been abandoned.

with the new announcement of the up and coming Mac OS, looks like the AMPPS days are counted... it's a shame Softalicious don't give a fk about it...

looks like Xamps it's the best alternative at the moment...
