Topic : Total CPU displayed in Webuzo

Hi,

I have an 8 Core CPU @ 3.40 GHz dedicated machine. I have installed "Webuzo" web panel on the server. The "Total CPU" displayed in Webuzo is 3400 MHz while I assume it should be 8 * 3400. I contacted the Webzuo support and I got this reply:

Hi Sir,

The CPU frequency of 3.6GHz is your combined frequency and not of individual cores.

The panel is showing correct data. You can not add couple frequency with CPU cores.

If you want to check the same yourself, SSH your machine and run "cat /proc/cpuinfo". This will display all the CPU related information to you along with the Frequency.

The world record for the highest clocking CPU is of only 8.429 GHz. You can check the same on the Internet as well.

Webuzo Support
I ran the cat command and actually got 8 processors (numbered from 0 to 7) each at 3400 MHz. This is actually what's expected considering these are actually physical cores not virtual ones like in VPS. I have read multiple articles and all confirm that the clock speed would be for each core and not divided on the cores. I'm afraid that Webuzo wouldn't utilize the full CPU power rendering the dedicated server useless as I need high CPU

The CPU model is: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1231 v3 @ 3.40GHz

Thanks
Regards
Michael
