Seems that the new editor version has some drawbacks. I´am scared that it will be the new standard for all users, as it does not work at all under cPanel with Cloudlinux/CageFS.
Are you running on Cloudlinux?

I´am also fighting with a cloudlinux server and sitepad while other cloudlinux servers run well (I don´t get the difference...)
Make sure you have error reporting on (display errors). You can find that in CPanel:
PHP Selector => switch to options
I´m quite sure you will see an error like "Can´t include file /usr/local/sitepad[...]"
Try running as root:
Code
cagefsctl -M
cagefsctl --force-update

That was bringing me a step further, now the editor hangs at 90% loading when trying to edit a page. Still fighting on that.

the only thing I can recommend is opening a support ticket for that. It is unlikely that you will be able to solve that puzzle on your own.
In my case, Virtualizor Support was able to get it running.
