Topic : When will ISPconfig Multi-user be supported?

Its been 4 years since ISPconfig single server support was added. Is there any  hope a multi-user ISPconfig version of Softaculous will ever be released?

Thx

Hi,

Unfortunately we do not have any ETA yet. We will let you know once we add it.

Its now 6 years.

New version 3.2 of ISPConfig no longer supports old APS installer so this would be a good time to have working multiuser ISPConfig Softaculous support. Lot of ISPConfig users would jump on it and help you sell more softaculous.

Just sayin.

I absolutely concur. Actually, just bought softaculous because it's simplicity, reliability, but didn't knew that multiuser is not working. Sad for me.

In case of Multi server there are several complications with working of Softaculous. We use posix to step down as a system user the user is currently logged in as and in Multi server case the system user will not exist.

We will need to evaluate how to make this working on a multi server setup.

Would recommend using FTP and Remote setup instead of Posix user. Then it would not matter which server/system user generated the request. Find a way to set up authenticate to FTP.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks we will consider that approach.

We do have an API in Plesk to get the FTP credentials will see if we can find such API in ISPConfig.
