Topic : Can you create a chain of staging environments?

Hi,

Is it possible to create a "chain" of staging environments using Softaculous?

As in -- to create a staging environment to the staging environment?

My use case would be something like this:

staging1.mysite.com --> Writers create content and editors review it (team 1)
Push to -->
staging2.mysite.com --> Graphic designers format and enrich content (team 2)
Push to -->
mysite.com (production)

If the answer is 'yes' to the above, is there any limit to how many staging environments can be chained sequentially like this?

As in, if, for whatever reason, I wanted to create a "chain" of 5 environments, to push one onto the next, would that be possible?

Sorry for the delay in response.

At the moment the chain feature is not available in Softaculous.

You can create chain however it would work as follows :

live.site.com - Your live site
staging1.site.com - Your 1st Staging site
staging2.site.com - This will be a staging of your 1st Staging site so choose the Staging button next to the Staging 1 site and not from the live site
staging3.site.com - Again this should be a staging of your Staging 2 site and not the live site
staging4.site.com - Again this should be a staging of your Staging 3 site and not the live site
staging5.site.com - Again this should be a staging of your Staging 4 site and not the live site

Now when you have to make the changes. Make the changes on Staging 5 site and Push to the Staging 4 site using "Push to Live" button next to Staging 5 site.

Do the same for Site 4 to 3 and so on. At the end you will reach to push the changes live from Staging 1 to Live site.

Please note : The final changes will not be available in the Staging 2 3 4 and 5 sites. So you will have to create the new staging sites again after pushing the changes to live site.
