I was told that there is no such thing as SWAP in openvz.

however virtualizor wiki says
http://www.virtualizor.com/wiki/Install_OpenVZ

SWAP partition is the requirement.  I don't really make the SWAP partition but now I'm curious if the SWAP partition is important?

if so how can I make SWAP partiton?

Thanks.

Hi,
In Virtualizor, you can specify swap size for containers, you are not required to create any partition for this.

If you are talking about host swap, then yes, you will need swap partition of required size (eg 2GB or 4GB)

If the host server do not have swap space, then you can follow any linux guide to create swap partition/file
Eg:
https://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/Deployment_Guide-en-US/s1-swap-adding.html
