Topic : Can't install Webuzo because of license errors

Here is the story.

I'm about to get a new VPS and was going to test the new version of Webuzo to see if it meet my needs. So I set up a virtual machine with VirtualBox, installed a minimal CentOS 6.4 x86 and started to install Webuzo on it. After it has been installed, when accessing http://<ip>:2004 for the first time to set it up and clicking on the install button I receive the following error message:

"You did not enter a valid license key or the license has expired."

Well, I was about to try the free version, so it should require any license key. How do I fix it?

Thanks a lot,
Daniel Bittar.

Hi,

Well you can reboot the box and access the installation page.

If you still face issues, you can install TeamViewer and leave the details in the support ticket. We will take control over your desktop and look into it. We are available from 5.00 am to 12.00 pm GMT.

I also have the exact same problem. I can't get past the initial setup due to the same license error. I even purchased a premium license but it doesn't work. I also tried leaving the license field empty, and it doesn't work either.

I also experience the same thing. Install webuzo in virtualbox. But get this error
"You did not enter a valid license key or the license has expired."

They mention, that leaving license key empty will get to free version. But it's not
Put Trial License also get the same message error.

Restart the Virtual Box and try again.

We shall replicate the issue at our end and fix the same ASAP.

Apology for the inconvenience caused.

I have been getting the same error also.  I've restarted virtualbox several times and entered in different licenses.  Please advise.

What is the Webuzo version ?

Execute the following command and that should fix it up.
Code

Root>  /usr/local/emps/bin/php /usr/local/webuzo/cron.php

Hope it helps \m/

Fixed it by playing with the network settings of the virtual machine....

Hi there!

What settings fixed it?

Changed VMware Network Adapter settings from  NAT to " Bridged ( Auto-Detect ).
It seems the license error happens when the machine can't contact softaculous.com.

Anyway, still struggling with other install problems as now Webuzo can't find Mysql....if I can't make it work today I'll cancel my license !

Thanks, Unfree!

However I do remember Webuzo being able to work with bridged network before.

Yes, the license error was because, you were not able to connect to softaculous.com

You can install/ remove MySQL by just a simple click from the Webuzo Enduser Panel.
