Scripts not installing (5 Replies, Read 4047 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	I was trying to test it out with the possibility of installing it on two dedicated servers. However none of the scripts seem to work. I always get "The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the Server Admin." After I run the cron, (following the suggestion on Directadmin forum), I don't see anything happening in SSH but it returns to the command line. When I go on the web and click on the software and click update settings: I get a bunch of these, on and on: "Updating Files Zikula Software not found.....Needs Update Deleting previous files...... Fetching Latest File......Could not SAVE latest file......Continuing AEF Software not found.....Needs Update Deleting previous files...... Fetching Latest File......Could not SAVE latest file......Continuing" etc. The original fatal error "The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the Server Admin" still occurs. Question: Where is it supposed to be saving the scripts before installing? I see that a /var/softaculous was created but there is nothing in it. Who is supposed to own this folder?

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	Thanks for the response. I have tried your suggestions and run into the same problem. Several reinstalls as well. I even tried it out again on a second directadmin server but no cigar. Same deleting stuff and then can't save the latest. There is nothing in /var/softaculous. Any thoughts? I must know that the free version works before I buy a license.
