 Installing scripts that don't appear on the list (6 Replies, Read 5014 times)

Hi,

My hosting provider has just installed Softaculous and I'm having a problem trying to find out how to install some of the applications I'd like to use.

Namely I'd like to get Wordpress up and running with an auto installer as well as Magento and WHMCS.

However, when I look at the list of available PHP applications I only see:

Blogs
- Dotclear
- Serendipity
- Open Blog

and under E- Commerce I just see PrestaShop.

Likewise under all other categories I see a far cut down list than from what is available here: http://www.softaculous.com/softwares

I've not come across anything that makes it terribly obvious how to install additional scripts. Could someone point me in the right direction, especially for WHMCS as I've just activated a 15 day trail and I haven't been able to use it! :-)

Hi,

Your Softaculous version is the free one :
http://www.softaculous.com/scripts_in_free

Hence the scripts are missing.

Well that clears things up then :-)

There's no way of manual adding scripts in addition to the ones that are available through the free version?

Looks like I'll just have to keep up the manual installations for now.

You can upgrade to premium for all scripts.

Cheers for clearing it all up.

My hosting provider has since updated to the full version of Sofaculous.

Supposedly I was too eager to test it out before they had fully completed the installation :-)

Basically when you get a new server or VPS with softaculous installed.Softaculous comes with default settings which only cover a few scripts and the rest you need to check them up.

Hi,

If you have a free license only then you are restricted to 60 scripts.
Also when you upgrade from Free to Premium you will have to update the list as well.
