When I open my website on my mobile the format changes. I have edited the page to make it usable on mobiles however it only works when I turn my phone. How do I make it usable holding my phone normally?

It is difficult to properly display a web page on different screen sizes. This is called responsive design.

SitePad has responsive templates and you can choose a screen for a PC, Tablet or Phone before putting a webpage on-line.
As I wrote before, it is difficult and often the end result is disappointing as you have noticed yourself.

What do you want to achieve and what have you done so far?

I have found that the mobile breakpoint is set to 320px in the Sitepad settings while most phones now are much bigger than that. You pobably need to change your mobile breakpoint to somewhere around 400px in the settings.

Changing the breakpoint changes the moment when a different layout is chosen for a different screen size. If the used widget does not meet what you understand as responsive behavior, changing the breakpoint will not help unless the other layout just does not show the error. You do not solve the problem, but you camouflage the symptoms of the problem.
After a lot of testing and analyzing the HTML output of various widgets, I was unable to find a widget that could display a responsive column of equal height for any screen width. I have therefore come to the conclusion that a simple widget user interface for that responsive application is not feasible for any screen width. I can manage with Rich Text widget with HTML and CSS. Then the price is a more difficult interface and a good user result.
