Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	Hi there, I'm about to use Softaculous for a web host. But now I still have a few questions about it. Maybe someone here can give me an answer. 1. We would use the apps like InvoiceNinja, Live Helper Chat and some more. Who has to take care of updating the apps. The web host or Softaculous? The best example: InvoiceNinja is operated in Softaculous with 5.3.16. The current version is 5.3.17. So who has to update the update accordingly in Softaculous? 2. Softaculous also registered as a normal company and installed with all apps that your software provides? What exactly would the costs be? I would be very happy to receive great feedback! When there is a new version available for an app we released the updated package and it is downloaded in /var/softaculous on your servers from our mirrors. So after the update it downloaded anyone installing the app will get this latest version. For users who already have the app installed they can upgrade it with one click from Softaculous enduser panel or they can enable auto updates so when we release the updates the users installations will also be updated. Regarding Invoice Ninja as per the vendor's recommendation we wait for their notification and then we release the update. For all other scripts we release the updates within a day. 2. Softaculous will install all dependencies it needs. Because the current software 5.3.17 has already been available from Cloudron since September 20, 2021. Only I would like to leave Cloudron because it is simply too server-heavy and I wanted to use myself for Softaculous. Since I have an instance via cloudron as of 5.3.17, no import / export is allowed. According to their forum, the version must always be the same. I have therefore already deactivated automatic updates in the old instance.
