now I have no access to localhost/ampps or ocalhost/ampps-admin/ (A 50X error occurred). I've restarted the Apache server a couple of times since.
What must I do to regain access?

I have the same issue - displays a 500 error.
I've spent hours trying to solve this, but with no luck.
