Softaculous

Topic : shared hosting on Siteground with Webuzo

Posted By: dl3news on February 23, 2020, 9:39 pm
I signed up for the grow big package to host my site on Siteground. They are only letting older users use cpanel it seems, and have cut down the number of apps that can be added.

However, there is a place to ADD apps, and does anyone know if I can buy/run, softaculous/webuzo as an individual within my own shared hosting plan on a Siteground shared server, non-vps, non dedicated server, but I can buy a dedicated IP.

I would appreciate the help as I am used to having access to these apps, and the help section at Siteground says nothing about how to ADD an app that is not on the cut down list....
Thanks for the help

Hi,

Unfortunately on Shared hosting you cannot enable or disable scripts in Softaculous. This can be managed only by your web host.

Only if you have a VPS or Dedicated server then you can buy and install Softaculous/Webuzo and manage the list of scripts you want to use.

You can use our remote installation service i.e. :
https://remote.softaculous.com/

This can install apps on your server via FTP.
