Hello,

i have so many questions and i have not found answers for this on the page or the wiki.

Actually i use SolusVM and i am interested to change to Virtualizor.

1. On the admin demo i can see that there is a import function for SolusVM how does this work? i dosen´t found a example for this. So as i can see the DB will be imported so is this only for the accounts? What about all the active servers and vps on it? Can they also be imported that they can accessed by Virtualizor after removing SolusVM from it?

2. On enduser demo i can see a button for Backups, but if i click on it, it is only loading and nothing happens so how does this works? Is this a FTP-Backup function where the user can set some FTP data and can than backup the VPS or is this from the Backups that i have made as admin than? Or how this this works?

3. There is a monitoring button, but here are the same as backup only loading but nothing happens. So what can the user do with this? are this email alerts? is it possible to use sms alert ?

4. i want to have only one login for all. I have found here on forum that this is possible but my questions here is if i install new servers as it shown on the wiki than i have on all servers running a webserver with login ? And what is the right way to install the master on a vps without virtualization to have only the interface on it no vps, same as on wiki ?

regards
Danny

The import function from SolusVM option imports the user database. And to import all your VPS, use Import VPS option instead (NOTE : Import VPS is for OpenVZ only, for XEN and KVM you need to migrate it manually and we will help you in this.)

Sir, Virtualizor Demo only shows the options available in this software, the demo minght not be fully functional.

And yes, backup option is available in enduser panel. (For OpenVZ only). Users can backup their VPS and restore it.
We also have rescue mode option where users can log their VPS into the rescue mode in critical conditions.

Monitoring allows users to monitor their resources like CPU, RAM and disk utilization.
Virtualizor emails the admin for disk alerts and high load alerts. ( You can see the options in Configuration page)

Yes sir, you can do it through clustering. You can manage all the server through one master control panel. All other servers will act like slaves. You can use Master on OpenVZ without the VPS and control other servers.

Please let me know if i can help you in any way. Reply on this thread or you can open a support ticket.

Thank you.

Regards,
Virtualizor Team

How does this works? All our Server running with VPS on it and SolusVM! is the migration possible without transfering the VPS to new servers, i mean to use the existing vservers on this nodes without migrating them to a new installed server

Are there any plans for Backup function for Xen and KVM for the end users? That is a main reason for me to go away from solus because there is also no Backup Options for all virtualizations, they promised this since years that this feature is comming but still today there is nothing ... will this feature come for Virtualizor and if yes, when? and is there is a FTP Backup option also coming for the end users, this would be nice

Where can i find the instructions for installing the master only or the slave only? If i look into your wiki for installing i see that all this installs the control panel with webserver too and the host nodes?

The import function from SolusVM option imports the user database

How can i import the user database? i know that there is a import link but and if i click on it i can see "Could not fetch DB name from file: /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf" so what have i to do here that the file is found? i found nothing on your wiki about this.

Hi,

Sir, do you have KVM / Xen VPS ? The import function only supports OpenVZ.
For KVM there will be some downtime, as the VMs LVM will need to be renamed and the VM needs to be stopped for that.

We are actually working on a direct importer as well, but that will be possible with our new storage code coming over the end of November.

Regards,
Alons
