Hi,

I am trying to install eventum using Softaculous however I get the error:

Eventum is not compatible with PHP version 5.3+

I have not been able to find a restriction in Eventum requirements that would prevent it working with PHP 5.3+ has this been tested/ are there any possible work-arounds.

Thanks

Hi,

Sir when Eventum installed on PHP 5.3+ gives Deprecated warnings, hence we have disabled the installation on PHP 5.3+
Even if you install it manually on your server you will see the Deprecated warnings.

This is also the case for Advanced Guestbook, is this going to be an issue for many of the scripts and if so, how soon will there be a fix?

Hi,

Sir there are a few scripts which generate warnings and errors on PHP 5.3+ hence  we have added a check to not allow users running PHP 5.3+ to install scripts as it will display errors on the site.

These scripts are not compatible and even if you install manually it will give you the same errors. Whenever there is an update in this script and they work fine on PHP 5.3+ we will remove this check and then you can install it on PHP 5.3+
