Will Softaculous be like a Cracker on grits with this upgrade... or molasses in the wintertime?

Hi,

Sir the version 5.5.0 is not a Stable release.
We have sent an email to their team and we will update Concrete5 if they confirm that 5.5.0 is a stable release.

I have been tracking their progress.
If they are not calling it Stable today, they will be very soon.

Hi Brijesh,
Concrete5, V5.5.1 is stable, and will be released on Monday. Franz and Andrew do a weekly broadcast on uStream that they then upload to YouTube. Yesterday they declared explicitly that Monday is that day. And they mentioned Softaculous as one of the distributors that they would notify to upgrade at-ounce.
Many C5 users who have site building and maintenance work to do are now on hold for this upgrade. It is improved to such a degree that work done now might have to be done again after the upgrade, and so the work that we need to get done, we want to do ASAP, but are somewhat dependent on the C5 distributors acting in a timely manner, Concrete5 says that that time will be Monday.
If you feel that you will lag behind please advise, so that I may employ a work-around.

I wasn't sure what you were trying to tell me. If your update propogates to my hosting company 'just like that' then I should be back in business by midweek.

I upgraded my five sites this morning via the Arvixe Control Panel, selecting Softaculous and the Softaculous Update Hieroglyphic. It went perfectly well. Thank you!
