 Question on multiable IP VPS (3 Replies, Read 2176 times)

Hello!,

    Im getting ready to purchurses this software for my webhosting bussiness and had a few questions.

My Site in question has a dedicated IP address due to useing a SSL Cert. All the clients are on another Shared IP address. Also I have several other IP's for other clients if they need a dedicated IP for any reasons (Including SSL).

This is all on a VPS server (I have multiables of these but would just like to use the one in this point) Do I have to buy a licence for each IP ? Or one for my shared IP (which would just leave my hosting domain out of useing the installers) Or is there a way to get the Licence for all of my IP addresses on the one server.

If I can get away with useing the one licence then I will probley just buy the lifetime licence for VPS if not then I will have to get a serperate licence for my cleints on the shared IP, 1 for my domain on the SSL IP and then serperate licences for anyone who orders a dedicated IP.

Thanks for the help in advance I hope you can understand what im trying to ask. I have not instaled anything yet due to this once I have a solution I will download the demo then upgrade the licence.

On a side note I also use WHMCS for my domain to sell the hosting packages and don't want to run into trouble with this script due to say a client orders hosting I want them to have this script installer but since my hosting domain is on a differnt ip then the shared ip WHMCS is unable to install it.

Hi,

Is your VPS on a cloud which has more resources than a Dedicated server or do you have just a normal VPS ?

It is a normal vps server but I have alot dedicated to it including multiable IP's and several SSL Certificates. The main Domain is on a dedicated IP with one of the SSL Certs but the shared domain Ip is serperate so I would not be able to use the software on my server itself only offer it to my clients. I want to be able to use it to :)

Also to change any of this would also break my WHMCS licence which I bought off my server provider and would have to change that again.

I have another VPS set up the same way but I want to use this on just this server for now to see how it works out if I need to then I will end up having to buy a licence for that server as well and will run into the same problem.

Hi,

For normal VPS you need just one license per VPS irrespective on the number of IPs.
