Topic : Webuzo backup ---> Possibility to stop

Webuzo backup start a backup process in background. This process can make the server busy and with resource usage. Once lunched you will be not able to stop the process. You should add the possibility to stop the process maybe. If the backup process is stopped than no backup is saved and temporary file removed.

Hi Marco,

Instead of trying to stop the backup process  midway due to high CPU resource usage , you should set a CRON to run the backup at midnight when the load is less compared to day time.

You can refer to the following CLI guide to set a cron to run the backup command :
http://www.webuzo.com/wiki/Webuzo_Backup_And_Restore#CLI

Note : You need to set this CRON at root level as the utility performs actions which requires ROOT permissions (you cannot set this CRON via Webuzo).

Hope this helps :)

Hi peopleinside,

The backup process is a CLI utility which is pushed to the background when you initiate the backup process.

So there will be no way to stop the same once initiated.

We will introduce the backup rotation feature so that oldest backup is deleted automatically once new ones are available.

Please feel free to reply if you have any more suggestions regarding the same.
