Topic : Softaculous Automatic Backup Time

Hello! I haven't tried Softaculous automatic backups for my websites yet. My host has rules regulating what off-peak times are allowed for backups.

So I have three questions:

(1) What time does Softaculous do the automatic backups?
(2) Is it possible to set a time for automatic backups?
(3) Will Softaculous's backup process impact my host?

Hi,

1) The backup time is generated randomly when you enable automatic backup for your installation.

2) The auto backup is performed by a CRON job which is added in your control panel account. You can edit the time for that cron job and make it run at the time you want.

3) It should not impact your host, however if you have huge files or database it might take some time to complete the backup.
