Topic : Downgrade apache version in Ampps

Posted By: IvanRusev on April 14, 2016, 4:12 am
Hello,

I'm using AMPPS on Mac for my local environment and it's bringing Apache/2.4.17 with it. However on the production web server we are running older version - Apache/2.4.8 and I would like to sync my local environment with that.

In Ampps, is it possible to specify the apache version and eventually downgrade it?

P.S. Please avoid the suggestion of upgrading the WebServer to latest apache. I know that's the 'right' thing to do, but it's not an option for now.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi,

We compile latest version of Apache with Ampps.

Apache 2.4.9 was the latest package when we launched Ampps 2.4 and Apache 2.4.7 was the latest package for Ampps 2.3

you can try Apache 2.4.7 or 2.4.9 but then you have to download previous setup and move apache folder.

AMPPS 2.3
http://files.ampps.com/AMPPS-2.3.dmg

AMPPS 2.4
http://files.ampps.com/AMPPS-2.4.dmg

Download complete package, install to another directory and move apache folder in your AMPPS folder.
