Hi,
Did you enable the "Auto Upgrade WordPress Plugins" and "Auto Upgrade WordPress Themes" checkbox while installing WordPress ? Enabling "Auto Update" will just update the core but to enable auto update for plugins and themes you need to select the above checkboxes. You can modify this from "Edit Installation" page. ah ok, i understand now why the plugins did not update over night.
