After doing research, I discovered that it is only possible for endusers with OpenVZ containers to do a backup/snapshot from their virtualizor and/or whmcs controlpanel.

This feature is definately needed/wanted by hosters who refrain from using OpenVZ, and only use KVM/XEN.

Am I mistaken, or is it possible for the enduser to create and restore backups, if the users are KVM contained?

If not, when will virtualizor implement this?

Alterntively, is it possible for anyone to code and integrate this with WHMCS/Virtualizor controlpanel?

Hi,

Yes, you are right,there is no end user backup feature available for kvm/Xen.
Its already in our to-do list and should be available by end of march.

Sir, Currently we are working on improving our Migration Feature for KVM/XEN and adding Multiple Migrate Feature for the admin, which is in testing phase and should be released in a weeks time.

The Next task definitely is the Backup which will have the main focus, along with End user snapshots.

There's already a script for backing up located here:

Maybe it could be integrated into Virtualizor.

Hi,

Sir we have implemented backup option for enduser, it will be available in next release (v2.9.2).
We are testing it on our test server. It should be out by next weekend.

Sir sorry for the delay in process.
We are testing the new version.
But the backup for enduser will be there in version 2.9.3
We will be releasing 2.9.2 soon.

It should be out in couple of weeks.

Hi guys. Still no good. Upgraded to Virtualizor 2.9.4. Still no KVM backup is possible. Is it going to be available at all ?

ERROR: Unable to backup the VPS(Failed to create the backup image, Return code: 1 . No snapshot found)

KVM ssh backup, failed No solution for backups. Any solution???

I am using the latest & updated Version. But Backup facility is missing, guys kindly provide any other solution for manual backups, without stopping virtual machines & with out any delay(data loss).
