Topic : Question of a beginner

Hi,
As Intro, here is the context and what I'm trying to do ...

- OVH / VPS Cloud / Ubuntu 14.10 Desktop (en version 64 bits)
- Our Dns records are pointing on our old web site and servers

I would like to use (test) Webuzo with Joomla and PHPBB. I have installed WebUzo (I guess successfully .. no warning ) and have installed PHPFileNavigator ... But, when I'm trying to access the provided Hyperlink .... It's looping "trying to connect" ..

What's wrong, what's missing. Do I have to do some post installion configuration on the application, serveur, apache, php ....

In advance, many thanks,

Marc, Belgium

Hi,

Sir please check your webserver is running or no and you can restart the service also ,here is the guide for it:
http://www.webuzo.com/wiki/Restart_services

OR

You can restart the webserver from terminal using following command:
Code
root> service apache restart

Hi,
Thank you for your reply ! Based on your feedback, I have :
1) Reinstalled the Serveur Ubuntu,
2) Reinstalled Webuzo
==> Check services : Bind in Error ... others : Running
3) Reinstalled PhpFileNavigator (Success)
==> Same Status as reported ..
==> Impossible to access anymore the Advanced settings/Services .... looping !
I guest that my problem is related to networking ... keep in mind that our 'external' DNS records are directed to another server ... this installation Webuzo is for testing purpose ...
How could I verify/debug the Bind problem ?
Best Regards
M

Additional / Context query : you have advised to do some terminal command ... I guest it's inside Webuzo ... but how to start this 'internal' terminal command ?

Example from Ubuntu Console :

root@vps:~# service webuzo restart
Failed to restart webuzo.service: Unit webuzo.service failed to load: No such file or directory.

Best Regards
M

Hi,

I have continued my tests ... pretty sure that the problem is comming from Bind.

But :

1) What's wrong in the config (Internal WebUzo versus Ubuntu)
2) How to debug/fix it

In advance, thank you for your help,

M
