 how to change Virtualizor IP address (8 Replies, Read 3820 times)

I'm in a really bad situation. Because of the ISP I have to reconfigure Virtualizor to work from behind NAT.
It looks link I don't know how the change the network settings of the Virtualizor machine.
So far I edited /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-em1 and restarted the network on Virtualizor and I'm able to access the interface on the new IP.
But I'm not able to access the virtual machine console running on Virtualizor. VNC still shows the old IP address and fails to connect.
Any advice is welcome since is an important machine and the users can't work.

If I únderstand you correct, you can´t access vps with vnc hosted on a Virtualizor node after an ip change.
Make sure, that you change the IP address of the node under the "Servers" Menü in Virtualizor. If that is not enough I would use "Master Proxy only" settings in the Masters configuration.
Besides that... did you change the IP Adress in DNS for the node hostname?

Is there a procedure how change properly the IP address of Virtualizor?
In the web interface under the host name it still shows the old IP address, but I use the new IP address to connect.

I can't use Java VNC from Chrome.
The new IP address of the VPS it show as applied but it doesn't respond to ping.
The new IP address of Virtualizor is applied but the old IP address is visible everywhere in the webgui.
I found this: https://www.virtualizor.com/docs/admin-api/edit-ip/ , but I don't know how to access it / install it.

This is not what you are looking for. It just blocks an IP for use with vps.

I found the VNC password here: /var/virtualizor/kvm-conf/v1001.xml and I was able to access the VPS with TightVNC client.
Than I noticed that Virtualizor was not able to set the IP address of the VPS. It was trying to allocate it through DHCP. I set the IP address manually in the VPS and after that I was able to access the VPS.
I forgot to mention that I moved the server behind a NAT.
There are few unanswered. I opened a ticket.
