Sir, you can not change/modify the document root directory for Primary domain in Webuzo.

My goal is to use ampps to install Ph7builder to a web site hosted by a hosting company (this question is specific to ampps and not how to install from the hosting company's panel).

Will this require that I purchase the Personal ampps version?

You can try creating an addon domain. When you do that you can define your own path.
