I thought this would be simple. Created a little test site in Sitepad (through Softaculous), then decided to go with Wordpress. Set Redirect to another URL / Site and guess what? That little Sitepad page is where it lands.

It's almost like it's somehow hijacking my redirect, SO … went back into Sitepad (through Softaculous) to delete the test page and I can't scrape it out, no matter what I do. Looks simple: go to Dashboard, check box to select domain, pull down menu and click "delete".

I realize this is ridiculous, any ideas? Thank you.

Hi,

I am having a similar problem. Tried removing all .html links but when i try to install a theme on wordpress, i get HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden.

The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory or you do not have enough permissions to access the resource.

Exactly. Thank you, I knew I was overlooking something simple. Another mistake I made (if this helps others), is to accept the Default (Wordprress) Directory when installing Wordpress to begin with.  If I'd have done that before installing WP, it would have over written the Sitepad's index doc.

Thanks again.

I have tried reinstalling Wordpress to overwrite Sitepad but still get error 403 when I try to change the WordPress theme. Are there other files I must delete to give WordPress the permissions?

Hi,

If you do not have any important files in your public_html directory then you can remove all the files in your public_html directory and try installing wordpress again.

Do let us know if you face any issue.
