I noticed that trying to install Dolphin 7.3.5, it won't install if PHP is greater than 7.0.

Is this blocker necessary?

Are there really actively developed scripts out there that don't yet run on PHP 7.1?

I'm not sure if this particular case is a Softaculous issue (unnecessarily blocking the installation) or a Dolphin issue (not updating their code to work with current PHP offerings).

Is there a way to easily list software that PHP max version of 7.0 or greater?

Hi,

We have tried to install Dolphin manually on PHP 7.1 and it does not work hence we have set the requirement for Dolphin as not supported on PHP 7.x

This is the exact error message :
Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function set_magic_quotes_runtime() in /path/to/dolphin/inc/header.inc.php:147

Once Dolphin team releases the updated version which is compatible with PHP 7.x we will update the requirement check in Softaculous as well.
