How can I disable the automatic backups of my WordPress blog? I can’t find an option under Softaculous and I need it to stop. Thank you

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

You can refer to the following guide on how to edit auto backup settings for an existing installation :
https://softaculous.com/docs/Automated_Backups#For_Existing_Installations

You can select the "Don't Backup" option from the "Automated Backups" dropdown.

Hi,

Please go to the "Cron Jobs" page in your control panel and delete the cron job that creates the backup. The backup cron command should have the parameters --backup and --auto

Let us know if you face any issues.

I know this is an old thread, but it's what it came up on google as more relevant.

I have the same issue, all backup forms are disabled, there is no cron job and softaculous is doing backups still.

I checked universal.php config file to make sure the settings are applied and they are.

This is becoming annoying and I need to stop it. I'm on the verge of removing softaculous altogether.

Sorry for the delay in updating the thread.

We did release a fix to exit the auto backup cron job if the functionality is disabled from admin panel. However since the cron jobs are already added in the control panel they will execute but will exit immediately.

Can you check with the latest version of Softaculous if you are still facing the issue ?
