 Softculaous Install Error at 95% What is the Procedure to Update SQL Without Program, Need Help with SQl Issue (2 Replies, Read 7680 times)

Greetings,

When my website reached around 95% I was unable to use the softaclous backup system as the error stated that the program lost connection to the host. I was using Stablehost and emailed customer support but had my account cancelled for using this program as they say do not allow it on there hosting platform. 

I created a daily backup  through the site and had about 10 gigs total on an unlimited site and instead of letting me correct the problem they gave me ten days to find a new provider.

I have looked a the instructions for changing server but it did not work. Now I am let to upload the sql  to the database manually. It would not be a big deal except that I now see 4 sql files. This is for X-cart, the first is

  1. softsql.sql                                    The largest of them.
  2. 1481729589_softsql.sql           
  3. dump_1.sql
  4. dump_2.sql
I still have the stablehost count for a few days but I really need to restore this backup and I did not download the sql file while it was yet working. I pray for the Lord's help in this regard. God bless you!

Sorry for the delay in response.

I had replied to your support ticket and here is the response again for reference for other users :

softsql.sql file in the backup will be the correct file for database backup.

As you said the backup failed at 95% it could be possible that the backup is not in full so I would recommend to take a backup again via Softaculous or manually take a backup of files from your file manager create a tar of the files download it on your computer and upload it to your new server.

Or you can also ask your new web host to migrate the complete account from your existing web host and they should be able to help you as well.

Thanks for your response. I had to start over from scratch but was able to build my own server with the Lord's help so I cannot be held hostage in longer in regard to my websites. Thanks for your help. God bless you!
