Topic : Control Panel installation

Posted By: indy0077 on August 27, 2017, 10:10 pm
Hi, how the control panel installation works? It seems not to work as we created a few VPS with the option to install a control panel, but nothing happened. We don't get any email notification with the control panel access details.

Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
Virtualizor adds the control panel installation script to linux startup script after adding the script to the VPS.

Panel installation is started once the VPS is Powered OFF and ON.

Virtualizor also logs panel installation under /root/ins_CPNAME.log

If your are facing any issues with panel installation through Virtualizor, create a support ticket to troubleshoot.

Note CP installation works only for Linux based VPS.

Panel installation might fail because of following reason:
1. Virtualizor was not able to download installation script from domain files.virtualizor.com

2. Network within VPS is not working

3. Disk space is not enough for installation to proceed, you can check relevant panel documentation on their official website

4. Perform operations option is not checked for VPS template used (Admin Panel > Media > OS Templates > Select and Edit template).

How can I cancel a control panel installation job?

Sorry to jump in on this topic.
I must agree with the OP

also where can the end user find the login to the said control panel  they chose, there is no info I can find or that they get no email to login to the panel they chose.

not every end user is an expert, they need to be told where to go, but we as admin cant tell them all, even when they may change the control panel a few times.

for instance on the install of "CentOS WebPanel" the end user does not get ANY info of the login or url, I know its http://IP:2030/login/index.php but how are they supposed to know that?

Is this another topic left open with no answer?

I hope someone from Virtualizor staff will answer your question.

Also it would be a good idea to implement sending emails to the VPS customer with all information about his VPS including LOG IN DETAILS of created control panels like cPanel, Centos Webpanel, etc.

Awaiting response. Regards
