Softaculous

Topic : installation screen suggestion

Posted By: TimesArrow on December 31, 2013, 1:12 am
i suggest NOT having the cpanel account's Primary Domain as the default domain on the installation screen (see attached). a couple times i've almost wiped out my primary domain accidentally. it would be better if "Choose Domain" was blank and forcing the user to choose something!

and the "Choose Domain" drop down list should be alpha sorted. i have over 40 domains and searching through that unsorted list is a pain!!!

thanks!

Hi,

The option to sort the domains alphabetically has been added and will be available with Softaculous 4.3.7 which will be released today. The option can be enabled from Softaculous Enduser panel -> Edit Settings

And regarding leaving the Choose domain dropdown empty by default we will see if we can add it.

i'm sorry, i just can't stop laughing! LOL! you guys are really good! LOL! it's so funny because i'm american and i learned in college that companies should be run like soflaculous. but in america, i often find little problems and when i contact the american companies, they don't care about improving their products. or should i say, the "Contact" people don't care.

Hi,

Sir are you using the Softaculous default theme or you are using a custom (modified) theme ?

Can you please check in the Softaculous Admin panel -> Settings which theme you are using ? If you choose "Default" you should be able to see this option. However if you are using a custom theme you will have to add the changes.
