Topic : Remove auto generated directory names during auto install

Hello! Maybe It is not so important to most people, but as it sometimes can be very annoying I am trying to find out is it possible to turn off suggested sub-folder name given during auto app installation?
During Wordpress or Joomla (or something else) installation, directory name always populates with joomlaX or wp value, and during installs it is easy to miss it (remove it) causing app to install in unwanted folder.

If out of the box option doesn't exist is it possible to configure it on a managed VPS server?

Hi,

We do have an option in Softaculous Admin panel so as to turn-off directory name provided in 'In Directory' field during installation. You can enable 'Don't Prefill Directory Name' option in Softaculous Admin Panel -> Settings -> General -> End User Panel Settings.

Once enabled, the 'In Directory' field will be empty and you can enter the directory name you want to install the script into.
