in the softaculous settings in cpanel auto upgrade is not disabled (not in the basic settings and not in auto update settings)

in basic settings upgrade to any latest version is enabled in the prefill auto upgrade preferences and in the force auto upgrade preferences.

when editing an installed script, the auto upgrade option is greyed out and cannot be changed

even when the auto upgrade option was already set to upgrade to any latest version available, when saving an installed script, this option is changed to do not auto upgrade. scripts that have been saved and updated this way are not being updated anymore

please explain to me how I can re-enable the auto upgrade option for all of my scripts again, so that they are auto upgraded when an upgrade becomes available

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in response.

We were able to replicate the issue and have fixed the same. After the fix when the user edits the installation, the setting will not be reverted.

This fix will be available in Softaculous 5.1.5, I have attached the patch here so you can apply the patch until Softaculous 5.1.5 is released.

Please unzip the attached patch at :/path/to/softaculous/

a small update, I'm using php 7.2 on my cpanel server. in the patch and in the updates of softaculous, there's no folder for php 7.2. I've duplicated the folder in the patch called includes71 and renamed it to includes72, I've added this folder in softaculous path on my cpanel server and that seemed to fix the problem

Hi,

Yes the same patch will work for Softaculous 5.2.2 as well.

Regarding the includes71 folder you do not need to rename it to includes72, the correct folder name includes71 will work for PHP 7.1 as well as 7.2
