Topic : Installations list is incorrect

Posted By: DigitalEssence on April 20, 2017, 9:04 am
Hi,

I've just installed the program and when I search for installations the information it is providing is incorrect.

For example it is showing some that no longer exist and even the subdomain and directory were removed a long time ago.

Others it is showing two reports for the same incorrect domain that is no longer present and in others it is showing an out of date WP install which is in fact up to date.

Also. I have a lot of other installations for other users on the server. Is there a way to bulk import them into the application?

And is there a search function for this forum? I couldn't find it.

Thanks

Hi,

>>For example it is showing some that no longer exist and even the subdomain and directory were removed a long time ago.
Did you delete or make some changes manually? The issue mostly occur when the changes are done manually but not updated in Softaculous records.

>>Others it is showing two reports for the same incorrect domain that is no longer present and in others it is showing an out of date WP install which is in fact up to date.
WP has an auto upgrade feature which upgrades itself whenever the installation is visited. In this case, it is important to update the same in Softaculous.

Although we have added two settings in Softaculous Admin Panel for the above two issues.
1. Softaculous Admin Panel -> General Settings -> Sync installations list with Softaculous Records
2. Softaculous Admin Panel -> General Settings -> Detect and update actual version of installations

Enable both the above settings and execute Softaculous cron as root based on your control panel from the following link:
https://www.softaculous.com/docs/Immediate_Synchronize_with_Softaculous_Servers

Both the above issues must be resolved.

>>Also. I have a lot of other installations for other users on the server. Is there a way to bulk import them into the application?
You can follow our guide here for this:

You require search function for what exactly?

Hi,

thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

The subdomains in question were deleted well over a year ago. I only installed softaculous last night.

The WordPress installation in question was updated prior to me installing Softaculous.

Brilliant, that's done it. My incorrect installs are now no longer showing.

It was so I could find answers to previously asked questions to stop me asking the same ones.

regards.

Hi,

>> The subdomains in question were deleted well over a year ago. I only installed softaculous last night.

Did you install Softaculous previously ? Or maybe you migrated the data from another server where Softaculous was installed ?

The installation data is stored at the following path :
/home/USERNAME/.softaculous/installations.php

Softaculous reads the data from this file and if this file already existed from previous Softaculous installation Softaculous will list those installations as well.

>> The WordPress installation in question was updated prior to me installing Softaculous.

This could be the same case as above.

>> It was so I could find answers to previously asked questions to stop me asking the same ones.

Yes we do have the search function and you can access it when you are logged in from the header 3rd option from right. Or you can access the search page here :
http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?act=search

Glad to know all your other issues were resolved.
