 Problem with Storage / VG/ Zero Space (3 Replies, Read 3331 times)

Hello!

i am a linux newbie, so please dont beat me.


i try to install virtualizor an a dedicated server with one ssd disk.

But virtualizor show me 0,00GB free space..


i found out that this can be the issue.

You should partition your ssd before installing Virtualizor. Create partitions for your OS like root/swap etc.  It depends on your Image storage how big these need to be.  80-100GB will work fine, but if you use any available image and some iso´s (keep possible user ISO´s in mind!), you better have >100GB.

Create a VG with the rest of your ssd and assign this to virtualizor exclusively.

the problem is, that it is a dedicated server from wholesaleinternet and i dont have any option to manuall install the os with custom partition.

but even if these guys, you can install the xenserver 6.5 template and install virtualizor on top. As far as I know they do not offer KVM setups for the instant servers.
