Hello,

I have OwnCloud 9.0.2 that was installed through Softaculous on a shared web hosting. It's working fine, apart from a little bug when I want to upload through a mobile device.

So, trying to solve this little bug, I wanted to upgrade my OwnCloud install to 9.1.2. Problem is the auto-upgrade proposed by Softaculous doesn't work. I launch the upgrade, the install bar moves on until 95%. Then, it gets stuck on the following window:

Upgrading ownCloud
Checking the submitted data (95 %)
NOTE: This may take 3-4 minutes. Please do not leave this page until the progress bar reaches 100%


And then it can remain like this hours long… If I reload the page, I receive following alert:

Ooops… the connection was lost!


And the upgrade is not done at all...

How can I upgrade OwnCloud ? Do I have to do it manually ? Do you have any hints or instructions about this ?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused.

The upgrade should not take this long.

If you can open a support ticket with us we can debug exactly why the upgrade fails.

Was this problem resolved? 
What is the solution? 
I am facing the same problem with both backing up the ownCloud installation as well as an upgrade.  The backup does finally send me an email after being stalled at 95% but when I check the Softaculous Backup and Restore location there is no backup listed. This takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
The upgrade (backup checked) stops at 95% and then gives "Oops... the connection was lost' message after about 10 to 15 minutes.
I have not tried the upgrade without backup checked since I do not appear to have any backups yet.

The backup or upgrade process should not take this long.

If you can open a support ticket with us we can debug exactly why you are facing this issue.

Thanks anyways.  I have contacted GreenGeeks and they tell me that I can't run ownCloud even though they provide the installation through Softaculous in their accounts.  I am looking for another solution so I no longer require the upgrade or backup.
