Hi,

Do you have Softaculous installed on your production server ?

If you have Softaculous installed you can install a fresh copy of OctoberCMS on your server.

If you want to use your current installation on your production server you can use Remote Import feature to import the installation :

Brijesh, thanks for your reply.
The link you indicated is on importing from another server, but I want to import the octobercms files in my development environment (my laptop) to a production environment (live server).
I have installed octobercms using the softaculous in my cpanel, but is the demo that appears.
Kindly assist.

Hi,

Unfortunately at the moment Softaculous does not have the option to push the installation from local server to a production server.

You will need to do the steps manually :
1. Upload the files
2. Create the database and database user and allow access to the database user
3. Export the database from source server in SQL file. Open the SQL file and replace all occurrences of url and path to your new server URL and path and then import the SQL file on the database you created on your destination server
4. Update the config file with the correct database credentials on your destination server and also if you find path or url in the config file update it with the new ones.
