Topic : Error restoring incremental backup from S3 (The /home storage is not present!)

Posted By: elsevi on September 3, 2025, 9:00 am
Hello,

I am trying to restore an incremental backup created with Backuply and stored on Backblaze S3.

The S3 connection works fine: I can list the backups in the bucket and select them from Backuply.
The problem occurs when starting the restore:

===
Your current storage is /home/upcommerce.
The /home storage is not present! Please add storage first.
If you are not the Admin, please contact the Admin !
===

Environment details:

DirectAdmin on Debian 12 (Bookworm).
Backuply v1.1.3 (Softaculous).
MariaDB 10.6
The /home directory exists in the system with proper permissions (drwxr-xr-x root:root).

In Backuply settings I can only add S3/FTP storages; there is no option to configure a “Local Directory” storage.

From what I can see, the plugin tries to validate a local /home storage during the restore process, even though the data is on S3. Since it is not registered/stored, it fails with this error.

???? How can I restore my incremental backups from S3 correctly?
Is there a way to manually create or force the required “Local Storage /home” entry in Backuply?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
