Okay, I bit the bullet and re-installed the OS. Before I did anything else, I installed Webuzo. It is working!
I know A2Hosting aren't mind readers and have no idea what sysadmins have in mind for their sites. However, the first thing you see when you install a new server is a quickinstaller that does the heavy lifting on the LAMP stack. Oh, boy!
You run that because almost everyone is going to use the stack. THEN you try to install Webuzo. BAM!! You slowly come to realize, with horror, that you are going to have to blow everything away in order to make that happen.
That is pretty painful. Maybe A2Hosting could add a text warning to the quickinstaller. "If you think you may ever want to install Webuzo..."
