Hi,

It might be possible that your Host has disabled PHP mail so you will need to use SMTP mail function so that your contact form can send email.

Regarding, reCaptcha if you are using old editor then site will need to be published for the captcha to work as the API was created for your domain and not SitePad Editor domain.
